The Parker YMCA, a branch of the YMCA of Northern Rock County, is now offering 24/7 access to members age 18 and up.
Members who stayed with the Y in 2020 will be able to upgrade their membership to 24/7 access for free until June 1. After this date, members and new members will see a one-time fee of $25 to upgrade their membership.
“Moving this facility to 24/7 access allows us to thank our members for staying with us in 2020 to provide additional access to spread our membership visits out, and add value by increasing hours while not increasing our staffing budget,” said Angie Bolson, the Y’s CEO in a statement. “Our facility is perfect to accommodate this service all while maintaining a safe and secure environment.”
Members will have 24/7 access to the wellness center, weight room and gymnasium. All classrooms, locker rooms, the whirlpool, youth room and private studios will be closed.
Safety measures and guidelines for offering 24/7 access at the Y include:
- 24-hour video surveillance.
- 24/7 access only to YMCA of Northern Rock County members – no guests allowed.
- A 24/7 access agreement signed during staffed hours of operation is required prior to using 24/7 access.
- Members are encouraged to exercise with another 24/7 member when using the facility outside of staffed hours.
- A telephone is available at the front desk in case of emergency.
- An AED is located on the wall next to the front desk.
- When entering and exiting, keep doors closed behind you.
- Do not hold the door for anyone.
- All members must use their own key card for access so the Y can track who is in the building at all times. Key cards cannot be shared with anyone. Doing so will result in permanently loss of 24/7 access and a possible termination of membership.
