In the latest Expert Q&A, editor John Reecer is joined by Marc Fisher, the CEO of the Mayerson JCC in Cincinnati, Ohio, to chat about Fisher’s recent retirement announcement.

After 13 years as CEO, Marc Fisher plans to retire from the Mayerson JCC at the end of 2025.
JCC president Jen Stein and president-elect Bob Oestreicher have formed a search committee, with the help of a search consultant, to find and hire the next CEO. The organization plans to announce the next CEO by the end of June to ensure a seamless transition when Fisher steps down at the end of December this year.
Fisher has dedicated more than 35 years of involvement to the Cincinnati Jewish community. Prior to becoming CEO, he served as the JCC board president. He currently sits on the board of the JCC Association of North America and has held past roles as president of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati and Cincinnati Hillel, as well as a board member of The Seven Hills School. He also served on the board and the executive committee of the Jewish Federations of North America and has volunteered both his time and financial resources to a broad array of organizations within the Cincinnati community, including service on the boards of United Way, the American Heart Association, and the Cedar Village Foundation.
