After a thorough national search, Valley of the Sun JCC in Scottsdale, Arizona, is pleased to announce Dina Shuster has been selected as the next CEO of the J, effective October 1, 2026.

Adam Brooks, the board chair of Valley of the Sun JCC, said Shuster brings extensive nonprofit and Jewish communal leadership experience, including senior leadership roles with UJA-Federation of New York and serving as deputy executive director at Sid Jacobson JCC in East Hills, New York.

“Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to building thriving communities, fostering a culture of excellence, expanding membership and programming, enhancing quality standards, and leading innovative initiatives that strengthen organizational impact,” said Brooks in a press release. “We’re confident Dina’s collaborative leadership style, strategic vision and passion for Jewish community will help guide the J into its next chapter.
