The cover story subject for the March/April 2024 issue is the YMCA of San Diego County. Led by CEO Todd Tibbits, the Y went from a $8 million deficit in 2021 to a projected surplus in the 2024 fiscal year.
This comeback first began by the YMCA starting its Drive to Thrive initiative which centered on growing back the Y and improving the organization’s foundational strength. Also essential to the Y’s success was integrating diversity, equity and inclusion principles while also focusing on enhancing community well-being and belonging.
