Learn how you can receive $10 thousand in monthly ad spend and connect to volunteers, donors and members faster than ever.

Unlock the power of digital marketing for your nonprofit by applying for Google Ad Grants. By taking advantage of this program your nonprofit can increase its online presence and reach new volunteers, donors and members quicker than ever before.

Sharing the story of your organization is essential for garnering support for your programs and community. In this digital age, having an online presence is a fundamental part of growing your nonprofit. Smart digital advertising allows you to connect to volunteers, donors and members faster than ever. However, the cost of these ads can quickly add up.

Google Ad Grants provide a great opportunity for nonprofits to gain access to digital search ads without a hefty budget. This program, established to promote helpful and accurate information on the web, provides nonprofits with $10,000 in digital ad spend per month. Ads are placed next to search results for topics related to your mission or services, providing you with the ability to target your messaging and reach the people most likely to engage with you.

The ads can be used for a range of mission-based campaigns, such as volunteer recruitment, driving membership sales and generating donations. Relevancy is rewarded in Google Search campaigns, so using specific keywords in your ads that are directly related to your brand and mission can help maximize the impact of your campaigns.

Any qualifying nonprofit can apply for Google Ad Grants, regardless of size. You’ll need to register your organization with TechSoup, and your website will need to meet Google’s performance requirements. If you’re keeping your website up-to-date, chances are you already meet the requirements. Here are five tips:

  • Use a website domain you own.
  • Be primarily mission-based, not commercial activity-based.
  • Be unique to your organization and demonstrate how you’re serving your specific community.
  • Have a robust and up-to-date description of your nonprofit, mission and activities.
  • Have clear navigation and calls-to-action.

Google Ad Grants are an excellent resource for nonprofits, yet they are often underutilized. By taking advantage of this monthly ad spend opportunity, your nonprofit can increase its online presence, reach new volunteers, donors and customers, and expand your reach.
