Insight into the 2024 Community Rec Leadership Summit taking place at the four-star Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa.
After a successful inaugural event, the Community Rec Leadership Summit will return in 2024. This time, community recreation leaders from across the U.S. will gather February 28 – March 1 at the Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort & Spa in San Antonio, Texas.
With a commitment to educating and empowering community recreation professionals, the Leadership Summit will bring together 50 top industry leaders alongside limited sponsors for two full days of valuable networking opportunities, peer-to-peer learning experiences and thought-provoking discussions while enjoying the comfortable charm and rich history of authentic Texas hospitality.
The 2024 Leadership Summit will be moderated by Jon Kidwell, a longtime supporter and friend of Community Rec Magazine. Kidwell is best known as the founder and leader of The Kidwell Team where he is a leadership trainer and coach, writer, and podcast host.
For over 20 years, Kidwell has served in leadership roles as an employee or board member in private companies and nonprofits — large and small — ranging from a local focus to a global impact. Before launching a leadership development company, he served as vice president of innovation and operations for a large, multi-million-dollar global nonprofit in Houston, Texas, collaborating with companies such as Apple, Nike, Pfizer, MD Anderson Cancer Center, the University of Houston, and the YMCA of the USA. In addition, Kidwell teaches Masters of Organizational Leadership courses as an adjunct professor for the Townsend Institute at Concordia University Irvine.
