Description
The Upper Merion Community Center is a 70,000 square foot, state of the art facility that offers a wide array of classes, camps, and activities to both residents and non-residents. The Center is equipped with a huge indoor track, fitness center, three basketball courts, one multipurpose court, art studio, group fitness room, spin studio, mind body studio, classrooms, meeting spaces, and a commercial kitchen.
Facilities
Our 4,000 square-foot fitness center features cardio training stations filled with ellipticals, treadmills, Expresso virtual bikes, rowers, recumbent bikes and Adaptive Motion Trainers.
Our strength training stations features 11 different stations for all muscle groups and free weight training stations that has a Smith Machine, two dumbbell racks and an Octagon quad functional frame.
Additionally, the facility has stretching and core stations.
Fun Facts
- The facility has a partnership with the Montgomery County Guild of Professional Artists which allows them to showcase a variety of art mediums. The area is open to the public and is known as the 431 Art Gallery.
- The Upper Merion Community Center opened in September 2016 and has offered over 2,000 programs.
- The facility is one of the premier pickleball spots in their county.
- Their Township has their own TV station and has produced several videos featuring the community center.
- Recently, the facility has developed new virtual programs, special events in a bag and outdoor fitness programs to meet the needs of their community.
- The facility has passholders not members.
- There were 92,814 check ins during 2019.
