The COVID-19 pandemic has forced community rec centers across the U.S. to stay on their toes, and constantly adjust their operating procedures and future plans. During this trying time, it’s important to support and learn from each other. To this end, we’d like to present the fourth Community Rec COVID-19 Roundtable, sponsored by SportsCarnival, in which three leaders in the community recreation industry share insights on reopening after the COVID-19 pandemic, and their thoughts on the drastic operational changes happening across the industry.

Topics of discussion include:

  • Reopening post-COVID-19
    • Insights and lessons learned
    • Best practices
    • Challenges overcome
  • How to get members involved in programs again while keeping them safe
  • Addressing negative responses to new operational guidelines

Panelists:

Jennifer Harrington, assistant executive director at the Mittleman Jewish Community Center
Matt Hancock, COO of the YMCA of Greater Tulsa
Robin Brothers, director of Fort Payne Parks and Recreation
