After conducting a nationwide search, the YMCA of Plainview Board of Directors selected Rob Wilkinson to once again serve as president and CEO. Rob previously led the YMCA of Plainview with distinction from 2008 to 2018, and his return reflects both the strength of his leadership and his deep connection to the community.

In a statement on social media, the YMCA of the USA said the team worked closely with the Y’s board chair J. Pat Manning, Gigi Lawson Woodruff, Greg Hartman of the Texas Alliance of YMCAs, and a thoughtful committee of volunteers to find the next CEO at YMCA of Plainview.

“Together, we reviewed a talented national pool of candidates, and Rob stood out as the right person to guide the Y’s next chapter,” an organization spokesperson said. “Rob is known for building strong partnerships, investing in staff and volunteers, and creating a welcoming culture where families thrive. During his previous tenure, he expanded programming, strengthened operations, and elevated the YMCA of Plainview’s visibility and impact. His return marks a moment of stability, continuity, and renewed energy for the Y and the community it serves.”

Special thanks was given to Manning, Woodruff and the entire transition team for their commitment to a thorough and thoughtful process.
