In this facility tour, you’ll be able to see all the spaces of the A.M.Y Wellness Foundation YMCA of Mitchell County.

Bill Hoag, the executive director of the Y, conducts a comprehensive tour of the state-of-the-art facility. The YMCA features a community-focused membership area and a three-section wellness floor with free weights, cable systems, pin-based equipment, and functional workout spaces including TRX straps and rowers. The facility also includes an extensive cardio room and two pools. Future plans include a multi-purpose athletic area with basketball courts, pickleball, indoor soccer and an elevated walking track. The current child watch service allows parents to use facilities for up to two hours, making this YMCA a comprehensive community wellness center serving the region’s diverse fitness and recreational needs.

    1. A welcoming environment with coffee bar and comfortable gathering spaces for members to enjoy. This area provides a sense of community.
  2. Wellness Floor
    1. Area 1: Free weights. This space is open concept to allow both free and body weight workouts. Additionally this area hosts four cable systems.
    2. Area 2: Functional workout area. This space is equipped with pin-based equipment, TRX straps, a forever rope and skiers—meant to provide full-functionality workouts.
