Over the last 15 years, the YMCA of South Palm Beach County has used Daxko to provide a single solution for the organization’s not-for-profit business needs. The software uses integrated technology, services, insights and payments to help power health and wellness communities.

Gary Flaks, the vice president and chief financial officer of the Y, said the partnership with Daxko brings an “effective team approach” to his staff.

Below, Flaks elaborates on the Y’s collaboration with Daxko, the benefits to its staff and members, and more.

Why did you decide to partner with Daxko? What problem were you looking to solve; or what solution were you looking to incorporate?

We wanted a single software solution for our organization. Their software provides us with the ability to manage our membership base, including a tour and engagement interface. Their POS solution allows us to sell and record various program offerings. This system has a seamless interface into an accounting package for managing our finances. It has accounts payable and accounts receivable modules along with a budgeting system that includes forecasting ability.

What are the benefits to your members as a result of this partnership?

Members can self-access their accounts whether it be for program sign up, scheduling and such.

What else can you tell other rec center professionals about the benefits of working with Daxko?

If you decide to use Daxko as your POS and reporting solution, make sure you set up the system to suit your needs. Ask lots of questions so you have the best functionality possible.
