Valentine’s Day is the day to show and share love. Showing your members that you care about them with a special Valentine’s Day event can make them feel appreciated and build a relationship with them.

Below, a variety of YMCAs share ways they are showing their members extra love on February 14th:

Westport Weston Family YMCA

The Westport Weston Family YMCA in Westport, Connecticut, hosted a tea party, dance, and arts and crafts at their facility. Crafts were available for kids ages three to 12, but younger children were also welcome. The event was held on Saturday, February 8th. The event was $8 per child if they pre-registered or $10 per child the day of.

Bayer YMCA

The Bayer YMCA in St. Louis, Missouri, is hosting their 3rd Annual Valentine’s Day Ball. Guests will enjoy dinner, dancing and a silent auction that benefits their annual campaign.

The event will be held on Thursday, February 13th from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. The dress code is cocktail attire. Tickets to the event are $70 each or $650 for a table of 10. Each ticket includes
a three-course plated dinner, wine and beer, and a concert and dancing.

Tull-Gwinnett Family YMCA

The J.M. Tull-Gwinnett Family YMCA in Lawrenceville, Georgia, is offering “Partner Yoga and Brunch” on Thursday, February 13th, led by yoga instructors Marion and Sheri. Partner Yoga will begin at 10:30 a.m. and brunch will follow from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA

The Lynch/van Otterloo YMCA in Marblehead, Massachusetts, is hosting a Valentine’s Day Dance. The Y will have pizza, music and a photo booth. The dance is for kids in the 6th through 8th grade. The dance will be held in the Y’s gymnasium and free for those who have a family membership. The event is being held on Valentine’s Day and is $10 for those with a youth membership and $15 for anyone in the community.

YMCA of Austin

The YMCA of Austin is hosting its “We Love You a Latte!” event on Valentine’s Day morning. Their TownLake branch lobby will be filled with free coffee, snacks, live music, Valentine’s card-making, and an art and gift market. They love their members and are looking forward to sharing the love on Valentine’s Day.

YMCA of Greater Houston

Families can shoot real bows and arrows like cupid and go for a canoe ride with someone special at YMCA Camp Cullen in Trinity, Texas. Families can create a unique flower bouquet, enjoy a giant swing and zip line, play family games and more. The event will run from February 14th to February 16th, and  is $119 per person. This includes lodging and four meals. Children four and under and adults 70 and older are free. Each family will have its own cabin with bunk beds and private bathrooms.

Citrus County YMCA

The Citrus County YMCA in Lecanto, Florida, will offer Parent’s Night Out and extended Valentine’s Day care from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 14. Members and non-members of the Y are invited to sign up for the event, which will feature games, activities, a pizza dinner, a frozen yogurt sundae bar, Valentine’s crafts and a movie for all kids in attendance. The cost is $15 for members and $25 for non-members. Children must be three to 12 years old and potty trained.

There are a plethora of ways to show members your appreciation for them. Whether it’s through extended childcare, events for the whole family or just free food in the lobby, any act of love will resonate with your members.
